Prerequisites

Credit for prior study is usually assessed as part of the enrolling process once you've been accepted into a course.
The faculty offers postgraduate degrees by research and coursework in the disciplines of Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and Fine Arts.
Research can be undertaken as:
- A Master's degree by research, which involves the production of a thesis of up to 50,000 words.
- A PhD, which involves the production of a thesis that 'contributes significantly to the body of research in a particular discipline'.
If you are interested in undertaking research programs in architecture, landscape or visual arts, it is highly recommended that you make contact with a potential supervisor and the postgraduate coordinator before making a formal application.

- Master of Architecture (Design)
Develop an exhibition of architectural design, of scope of works equivalent to the schematic design of a building of major cultural significance. - Master of Architecture (research)
- Master of Building Science (research)
- Master of Environmental Design (research)
- Doctor of Architecture (Design)
Develop an exhibition of architectural design, of scope of works equivalent to the fully developed design of a building of major cultural significance. - Doctor of Philosophy
Fine Arts
- Master of Curatorial Studies in Fine Arts (research)
- Master of Fine Arts (research)
This requires completion of an exhibition of original artwork and a catalogue, as well as a significant thesis on an aspect of art theory, history or criticism. - Doctor of Philosophy

Urban Design
Our Urban Design courses are the first of their kind in Western Australia. They are designed to broaden the interdisciplinary scope of urban design work undertaken by architects, planners, landscape architects or professionals in related fields.
