The Graduate Certificate in Urban Design is offered by the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Visual Arts and delivered by The Australian Urban Design Research Centre (formerly the Urban Design Centre of Western Australia).

The course provides students with a premilinary overview of the discipline of urban design and an introduction to its core practices, theories and methods.

Course outline

The Graduate Certificate in Urban Design comprises:

one of the following core design units:

two of the following units, selected to complement but not repeat previous relevant coursework, as recommended by the UDP Academic Committee:

Admission requirements

An applicant must have a relevent undergraduate degree in a field relating to urban design with a weighted average mark of at least 60% or equivalent as recognised by the Faculty on the recommendation oif the UDP Academic Committee.

English Language Competence

All applicants for UWA coursework programs must demonstrate a minimum level of English Language Competence
